If Tucson is known for anything, it's rodeo (well really, for a lot of things but let's just disregard those for the sake of this post).
For the third year in a row I had the opportunity to cover the annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros, this time as an intern with the Arizona Daily Star. This was no average rodeo, blessed with abundant sunshine, warm temperatures and the occasional sunburn. No, this rodeo was wet and cold—oh, and did I say wet? Nonetheless, my camera survived the rain and I made it out fairly intact as well.
Below are general action shots from opening day, Saturday, Feb. 18, of the 92nd Annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, including images of Saddle Bronc Rider Taos Muncy who the reporter featured in his story.
